LIONS BASEBALL PLAYS 33 INNINGS!!!!!!

On Saturday, April 2nd, the Baseball Lions honored the longest professional baseball game evered played. 30 years ago this month, the Pawtucket Red Sox defeated the Rochester Red Wings by the score of 2-1 in 33 innings. This minor league marathon game was the theme for the Lions fundraiser event for 2011. The NR Marathon game saw the Lions Black team defeat the Lions Red team by the score of 16-12. A good time was had by all players and coaches. A special thanks to all who donated money for this event, to those parents and former players who helped the coaches throw innings, to all players who played, and to Snappy Tomato Pizza for donating pizza to the very hungry participants!!
