JV LADY LIONS SOFTBALL ENDS ON A GREAT NOTE

Congratulations to the JV Lady Lions Softball team on ending their season with another victory against Loveland 14-5.  Great defense was played by our fill-in catcher, Lacy Darnell in the absence of Kaylee Chapman. Tremendous defense was also implemented by our 2nd baseman Haylie Clemons, first baseman Ashley Willis, shortstop Shelby Koehler, third baseman Hannah Calvert, left fielder Kendal Collier/Alyssa Allen, right fielder Alexis Blackburn/Tiffany Britnell, center fielder Kacie Colwell and pitcher Adrianna Flood.  Hitters of the game were Adrianna Flood with a triple and single, Ashley Willis with two hard hit singles, Kacie Colwell with two hard hit singles, Kendal Collier with two line drive singles and Haylie Clemons with four singles. The JV Softball team ended their season with a 16-5 record.

JV LADY LIONS SOFTBALL

The JV Lady Lions will close their wining season tomorrow. They fought against Goshen this past week securing a victory in the 7th inning 7-6, won against Leesburg 16-6, beat Amelia 17-6, CNE 10-2, Mariemont 10-3 and this past Saturday Anderson 14-1.  Our pitcher Adrianna Flood pitched 5 strike outs, hit one home run and a triple getting 4 rbi. Hitters of the Anderson game were Kaylee Chapman, Ashley Willis, Alyssa Allen, Shelby Koehler, and Katie Broshears.  The Lady Lions record now stands at 15-5.

JV LADY LIONS SOFTBALL

Congratulations to the JV Lady Lions Softball team on another win to their record last night against Goshen 14-0.  Adrianna Flood after being injured in the game twice still pitched 9 strike outs and hit a double. Mickaelah Wilson hit a triple and had 3 rbi.  A great job was done by all. The JV Lady Lions are now 7-1.

JV SOFTBALL

Congratulations to the JV Lady Lions on their tough victory against Blanchester Friday 12-10. Mickaelah Wilson hit a double bringing in the two winning runs to finish the game.  The Lady Lions came back on Saturday and pulled another victory against Reading 5-2.  Their record is now 6-1.

The JV Lady Lions Softball team started their season on Saturday 3/28 with a victory against Hilltop 3-2 and continuing their victories against Batavia 21-1 and Amelia 11-5.

Lions Hall of Fame accepting nominations

The New Richmond Lions Sports Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for induction into the 2015 Hall of Fame Class. Nominations must be received by the New Richmond High School Athletic Department by December 8, 2014 to be considered for the 2015 Hall of Fame inductions to be held at 6 p.m. January 31, 2015.

NOMINATIONS AND ELIGIBILITY

FORWARD:        The performances of the past serve as an inspiration for present and future activities. Yet, unless the achievements are recorded, they tend to become hazy memories. It is for this reason that we set forth the following purpose for the Lions Sports Hall of Fame.

PURPOSE:           To recognize outstanding contributions to the athletic program at New Richmond High School by athletes, coaches, athletic directors and administrators and therefore offer incentive to future participants in this program.
A.    Anyone wishing to make one or several nominations may obtain nomination forms in the Athletic Director’s Office.
1.     Nominators must sign nomination forms or they will be invalid.
2.     Nominations must be submitted by December 8th. The committee will meet in December to select inductees.
3.     The induction ceremony will take place during the basketball season on January 31st at 6:00.
B.    Any past athlete, coach, athletic director, or administrator is eligible for induction into the Lions Sports Hall of Fame with these exceptions:
1.     An athlete must have earned a Varsity letter while attending New Richmond. Athletes cannot be considered within the first five years after his/her graduation date.
2.     A coach, athletic director, or administrator is eligible immediately after retiring or upon leaving the district.
3.     A present coach, athletic director, or administrator is eligible for his/her performance as an athlete at New Richmond.
4.     Outstanding athletic achievement and contribution to athletics is the primary requirement for nomination.
C.    Number of Inductees – There will be at least one, but not more than 4 inductees in a given year.
D.    Nominations will be kept in consideration for 3 years.

JV VOLLEYBALL SEASON ENDS 17-3

The JV Volleyball Team ended their season with another victory against Goshen last night 25-15 and 25-10; ending their record at 17-3. They won a game and lost a game to Western Brown and Amelia. They also fell  to Williamsburg one game. The Lady Lions had a great season.
