JV Girls Soccer Defeat Bethel Tate

Congratulations to the JV girls soccer team who defeated Bethel Tate last night 1-0. Riley Deweese scored her first goal of the season helping the Lions get the win. The Lion defense also played tough the entire game keeping the tigers scoreless. The JV girls play at CHCA this Saturday at 1:00. Go Lions!

Lion Golfers Takedown Goshen.Austin Wells is Medalist

The N.R.H.S. Golfers finished their suspended match with Goshen on Thursday night by defeating the Warriors 180-200. Sophomore Austin Wells was the medalist for the match shooting a 43 on the front nine at Deer Track. Other scores for the Lions were Austin Skaggs (44), Tyler Flood (46), Connor Tidball (47), Evan McKinley (51), and Henry Heidlage (52). The victory pushes the Lions record to 8-4 on the season. The Lion Linksters will take on Western Brown At White Oak Golf Course on Monday at 4:00.

Volleyball Team falls to the Broncos

The lady lions could not pull off a victory against Western Brown tonight. The team struggled to gain any momentum during the match, falling in 3 straight games. Brittney Strunk lead the team with 6 kills, followed by Devan Macke with 4. Sarah Shoemaker, Hannah Lang, and Brittney Strunk were all tied with 2 aces. Lindsey Blankenship was the team leader in blocks with 3, while Myla Gordo lead the team with 16 digs. Saturday the girl take on Norwood and Summit Country Day, at Summit. The game times have changed to 1:30 and 2:30.

Freshman Football

There will be no freshman football game this Saturday vs Simon Kenton. The JV game has been moved up to 10:00.

Volleyball time change

The volleyball team will play a tri match at Summit on sat the 11th. The game times have been change to 1:30 vs Summit and 2:30 vs Norwood for both JV and Varsity teams.

Boy's Soccer make up date

The boys soccer team will travel back to Amelia for a rain delayed makeup game on Sept 27th at 6:00. This is varsity only.

Tennis New Richmond vs. Bethel

The Lady Lions were defeated by Bethel last night 5-0. The girls will try to improve on their 4-4 record on Monday when they face McNick at home.

New Richmond Cross Country Teams Find Success at Western Brown Invitational

The New Richmond boys cross country team won the Western Brown Invitational, with the girls team placing a respectable fourth despite injuries and sickness on the team.

The Mason Invitational will be held at Corwin/Nixon Park near Mason High School.

All ruuners are to meet behind the school (by the library) at 7:35 a.m. to board the bus for the meet. The New Richmond cross country teams will be partiipating in the following races.

Feeling Like a Banana! N.R.H.S. Golfers Split Again!

The N.R.H.S. Golf team shot their best round of the year by shooting a 161 on the front nine at Lindale Golf Course. The round was not good enough to knock off the Tigers of Bethel who shot a 159. Reading, the third team in the Tri-Match shot a 184. Leading the Lion Linksters in scoring were Austin Wells (38), Austin Skaggs (39), Evan McKinley (42), Henry Heidlage (42), Connor Tidball (44) and Tyler Flood (52). The split pushes the Lions record to 7-4 on the season. The Lions begin their quest to win the S.B.A.A.C. Championship by playing in the first S.B.A.A.C. league meet on Thursday 9/9 @ Deer Track. The match will begin at 4:00.
The Lions also played a J.V. match against Bethel on Wednesday and they defeated the Tigers by the score of 182-187. Leading the team in scoring were David Ohntrup(44), Matt Rydzewski (45), Erik Hermann (51) and Hunter Blankenship (53).

Volleyball team defeats G-town

After winning the first two games against Georgetown, the lady Lions fell in the third game. Battling to get momentum the girls did pull out the fourth game 27-25. Brittney Strunk lead the offense with 17 kills and Hannah Lang had 24 assists and 6 aces. On the defensive side Sarah Shoemaker had 17 digs and Lindsey Blankenship had 5 total blocks. Tomorrow the team takes on league rival Western Brown.

Tennis vs. Batavia

The girls tennis team improved their record yesterday to 4-3 defeating Batavia 5-0. Winning in our singles positions were, Casey White 1st Singles, Sarah Jones 2nd Singles, and Megan Tucker 3rd Singles. Winning in our doubles positions were, Miranda Stilwell and Alex White at 1st Doubles, and Savannah Glenn and Marisa David at 2nd Doubles. The team will take on Bethel at home Wednesday the 8th.

FRESHMAN/JV VOLLEYBALL

Our Freshman and JV Volleyball teams are off to a good start. The Freshman played against CNE 8/31/10 and won 25-18 both games. JV lost to CNE in 3 games, but won against Amelia and Batavia so they are now 2-1 in the league. We have 10 freshman, 3 juniors and 2 sophomores that make up freshman/jv team.

girls varsity soccer falls to Amelia

The girls varsity soccer team lost to Amelia on Tuesday night with a final score of 1-0. Amelia's goal was scored in the first half, but the Lions were ready to come back the second half and end in victory. Due to inclement weather, the game was called just 12 minutes after starting the second half and Amelia got the win. Thursday, the Lions look to take on Bethel, at home. Kick-off is at 7pm.

Golfers Match Suspended by Lighting

The N.R.H.S. Golf team traveled to Deer Track Golf Course in Goshen on Monday. Play was suspended by lighting with players still on the course. The match will resume and be completed when the Lions travel to Deer Track on Thursday for the 1st S.B.A.A.C. Match. Th Lions play in a Tri-Match today with Bethel and Reading at Lindale Golf Course. The match will start @ 4:00 pm.
