Tough loss at Georgetown.

Tough loss tonight for the Lions. Spotting a solid Georgetown team 18 points in the first few minutes of the game made it a deep challenge to fight back from. The Lions refused to give up and brought it back to single digits numerous times through the game but couldn't get it close enough to pull the W. Austin Wells led the Lions with 16, Josh Heiden with 14, John Ernst with 12. The Lions will look to regroup at Felicity on Tuesday. The Lions JV won 70-56

Prior to moving to Texas, Herman coached at Little Miami for four years (two as head coach), Colerain for two years and one year at Loveland under Chuck Warden, who resigned from at the end of the 2012 season after six years as New Richmond's offensive coordinator to coach baseball with Midland.

The Varsity Wrestling Lions split a "Super Tri-Meet".

New Richmond traveled to Wilmington Friday night and oddly enough didn't wrestle Wilmington. The Lions drew Hillsboro and Monroe to wrestle.

First match of the night was against the Hillsboro Indians. The Lions wrestled well but came up short in a few key matches. The final score was Hillsboro 47 NR 28. The Lions seniors led the way. Kevin Reid was a beast, James White pounded his opponent, Nathan Dixon put the hurt on an Indian, Clay Loadman wrestled well, Autumn Clark was impressive and JR Forsee just does was JR does, win! JR achieved a milestone Friday night with his 100th win, congrats JR!

Unfortunately for Monroe the Lions were ready to make someone pay for the loss they just sustained. The Lions proved to be too much for Monroe, final score was NR 46 Monroe 26.

The next meet is Saturday at the Hammer and Anvil Tournament, WE ARE NR!!

JV Wrestling Lions finish second at NR Invitational.

The Lions invited sixteen teams to the wrestling fieldhouse Saturday and dominated all of them except those Ross Rams. It was basically a two team race most of the day. Coach Minor knew his team had a great chance at winning the tournament. The Lions were lead by 182 lb Champion Jay Troy, 195 lb Champion Justin Patrick, 220 lb Champion Will Lytle and 285 lb Champion Shawn Elam. Rodney Berwanger finished second also. WE ARE NR!!
