Lions football coach going back to Texas

New Richmond High School Football coach Scott Herman met with the team today and announced he was leaving to go back to Montgomery,Texas where he coached  before taking the New Richmond job.

Herman, who teaches physical education at NRHS, went 5-5 in his only season at New Richmond, replaced Dan Scholz who became the head coach at Oak Hills High School.

Herman coached at Montgomery High School for six years, the last four as defensive coordinator. Prior to moving to Texas, Herman coached at Little Miami for four years (two as head coach), Colerain for two years and one year at Loveland under Chuck Warden, who resigned from at the end of the 2012 season after six years as New Richmond's offensive coordinator to coach baseball with Midland.
