Lion Linksters Bombed By St. X

The Lion Linksters took it on the chin Thursday night as they were defeated by the St. X Bombers by the score of 149-183. Leading the Lions in scoring was Chris Mazzaro with a one over par 36 on the front nine at Stillmeadows Country Club. Also scoring for the Lions was Bryce Kroeger (41), Kyle Heidlage (54), Daman Abner (54), Chase Heflin (60), and Zack Grissom (60). The Lions record stands at 4-4 on the season.

JV LADY LIONS VOLLEYBALL

Congratulations to the JV Lady Lions Volleyball team on their victory against Amelia last night 25-22 and 25-16.  The Lady Lions battled to seal the victory and now hold a season record of 6-2.

Lion Linksters Knockoff the Bulldogs

The Lion Linksters got back on the winning track last night with a 168-192 victory over Batavia last night at Stillmeadows Country Club. Leading the Lions was Medalist Chris Mazzaro with a one over par 36 on the front nine. Also scoring and playing well for the Lions were Bryce Kroeger (40), Kyle Heidlage (42) Daman Abner (51), Zack Grissom (52) and Chase Heflin (64). The Lions record stands at 4-3 on the season.

JV LADY LIONS VOLLEYBALL

Congratulations to the JV Lady Lions Volleyball team on their victories against CCD, (25-8, 25-11), Reading (17-25, 25-19, 25-11), Mariemont (25-17, 25-17) and Norwood (25-6, 25-10). The Lady Lions are off to a good start. Season record thus far is 5-2.

GIRLS TENNIS

The girls tennis team is off to a great start this season. Having only one returning player, the Lady Lions are currently 3-2 on the season, and 2-2 in league play. The Lady Lions opened their season at Norwood, defeating their opponent 5-0. Winning their matches were: Megan Woolum 1st Singles, Taylor Cardarelli 2nd Singles, Krista Reid 3rd Singles, Laura Painter/Lily Cahall 1st Doubles, Alyssa Hallahan/Lexi Jump 2nd Doubles. The Lady Lions traveled next to Amelia, losing 4-1. Winning the match was Abby Jewell/Maria Steinmetz 2nd Doubles. The Lady Lions found their 2nd victory against Bethel, 3-2...matches were won by Taylor Cardarelli 2nd Singles, Krista Reid 3 Singles, Lexi Jump/Brooklyn Klein 2nd Doubles. The team was then defeated by what looks to be the toughest team in the SBAAC, Western Brown 3-1. Winning at 2nd Doubles was Lexi Jump/Brooklyn Klein. The Lady Lions will travel to Goshen on Tuesday.

Lion Linksters Fall in Tri-Match

The Lion Linksters played a tough tri-match against visiting Turpin and Milford Monday night and were beaten in a close match. The final score was Turpin 159, Milford 165, and New Richmond 168. Leading the Lions and all golfers in the match was Medalist Chris Mazzaro who shot a blazing two under par 33 on the back nine at Stillmeadows Country Club. Also scoring and playing well for the Lions were Bryce Kroeger (41), Kyle Heidlage (42), Daman Abner (42), Zack Grissom (66), and Laura Wilson (68). The Lions record now stands at 3-3 on the season.

Boys Soccer Defeats Norwood

The boys soccer team defeated league opponent Norwood Monday 3-0. Goals where scored by Colton Farmer and Michael Huber, Will Hayden had the shut out. The boys are right back at it Tuesday with a league game at Goshen.

New Richmond Boys And Girls Cross Country Teams Have Strong Showing At The Wilmington Invitational

The New Richmond cross country teams both had strong showings at the Wilmington Invitational this past Saturday.  The Wilmington Invitational featured more than 30 division I and division II schools from Ohio, and included 351 runners in the boys race and 282 runners in the girls race.  The boys team placed 11th at the invitational.  Top runners for the lions included;
