Bus times

We have added a new feature to the schedule. Click on schedules at the top of the home page, and it brings you to high school sports.net. Hit change sports, pick the sport and hit go. Then select season and that brings up your schedule. Click on the event info and allow a second to load and it will tell you the time the bus leaves and an estimate of when it will return. Hope this helps.

The JV Lady Lions volleyball team was defeated by the Amelia Barons last night 19-25 and 16-25.

Boys soccer defeat CNE

The boys started the game very strong scoring 2 times early in the first half. CNE fought back scoring their only goal before the half ended . New Richmond started the second half determined to finish strong. After 40 minutes of team effort the Lions finished with a win by the score of 4-1.

Lion Golfers Bulldog Batavia

The Lion Linksters traveled to Elks Run Golf Course to play the Batavia Bulldogs on Thursday afternoon. The Lions continued their fine play on the season with a 171-206 victory. Co-medalists for the match were Chris Mazzaro and Evan McKinley with 3 over par 39'. s. Also scoring for the Lions were Austin Wells (46), Henry Heidlage (47), and Austin Skaggs and David Ohntrup (50's). The Lions continue their season play on Tuesday when they travel to take on Goshen @ Deer Track Golf Course. The Lions record is now 24-3 on the season.

JV Girls Soccer

The JV Girls Soccer Team tied Bethel 1-1 last night. Alex Shultz scored in the first half with an assist by Grace Jaehnen.

Lions J.V. Golfers Keep Record Perfect

The Lions J.V. Golfers kept their record perfect on the season by defeating the Rockets of C.N.E. by the score of 165-188 at Lindale Golf Course. Leading the Lions in scoring was medalist freshman Bryce Kroeger with a 4 over par 39 followed closely behind by David Ohntrup with a 40. Also scoring and playing well for the Lions were Kyle Heidlage and Erik Hermann (43's), Matt Rydzewski (48) and Daman Abner (52). The team's record stands at 2-0 on the season.

Boys soccer defeats Goshen

A great team win Tuesday for the boys. New Richmond took a 2-0 lead into halftime without creating many scoring opportunities. It was a different story the second half with the final score of 8-0. The night was highlighted by a diving header for a goal by Michael Huber.

Girls Tennis-Goshen

The girls tennis team defeated Goshen last night 3-2. Those defeating their opponents were, Sarah Jones at first singles, Miranda Stilwell and Alex White first doubles, and Bailey Deweese and Rachel Curless at second doubles. There will be a write up in the Community Journal Wednesday 7th on our undefeated first doubles team, featuring Miranda Stilwell and Alex White.

JV Games at Bethel

Todays JV game at Bethel will be at 5:00 and 6:30 with the boys team playing first at 5:00.

FRESHMAN JV VOLLEYBALL

The Freshman Volleyball Team defeated CNE last night 2 out 3 games; 17-25, 25-11, 25-19. The team was lead by Emily Hensley with 4 aces and 4 kills, Wendy Applemann with 3 aces and 2 kills, Emily Carter with 3 aces and 3 assists, Carrie Stapleton with 3 kills and Tina Lawrence 2 kills and 2 aces. Our setters Emily Carter and Analiese Rhodes did a tremendous job setting up our hitters to obtain the kills. Ella Neess controlled the back court with her passes to the setters. The team worked hard together to secure their victory.

JV VOLLEYBALL VS. CNE

JV Volleyball team played hard against CNE last night but was defeated 17-25, 17-25. Thursday they will play at Amelia.

Varsity Lady Lions beat Goshen Warriors

The girls varsity soccer team beat Goshen last night on a score of 4-2. The Lady Lions had a combined 26 on target shots. Cassidy Martin, with the help of her defense had 9 saves last night. Scoring for the team was Sarah Glenn at the 22 minute marker, and Kelsey Hensley at the 30 minute marker with an assist made by Bethany Smith. For the second half, Lexy Stamper scored at the 54 minute marker with an assist made by Sarah Glenn, and Kelsey Hensley for her second goal of the evening at the 78 minute marker with an assist made by Lexy Stamper. The team will travel to CNE on Thursday to play the Rockets at 5pm.

Volleyball vs. CNE

Last night the varsity lady lions fell short against CNE. Being tired from the long game and late night Monday, the girls could not put together a win. After losing the first game 25-14, they battled in the second 25-23, and third 26-24. Hopefully the team will be rejuvenated when we take on Amelia, Thursday, in our second league match.

Lion Golfers Hold off Broncos

The Lion Golfers traveled to White Oak Golf Course on Tuesday to play Western Brown. The Lions held off the Broncos by the score of 175-184. Leading the Lions was medalist Chris Mazzaro with a 38 and Davey "Dumpling" Ohntrup with a 44. Also scoring for the team were Evan McKinley (46), Austin Skaggs (47), Austin Wells (49) and Henry Heidlage (52). The Lions next travel to Elks Run Golf Course to take on Batavia. The Lions record now stands at 23-3 on the season.

JV VOLLEYBALL VS. MANCHESTER

The Lady Lions jv volleyball though defeated by Manchester had a good match last night. The team lost the first game 25-23, won the second 25-23 then fell short in the third 23-25. We will face CNE in our first league game tonight with a freshman game also.

Volleyball Starts off with a Win!!!

The varsity volleyball team won a very exciting match against Manchester tonight. The match was about as close as possible with scores of 19-25, 25-20, 26-28, 27-25, 15-12. Hannah Lang lead the team with 8 assists, Sarah Shoemaker had 15 kills and 38 digs. Eleanor Wildey lead the team with 3 blocks. Tomorrow the girls take on CNE in the league opener.

Also, the volleyball team is selling shirts for the Aces for Ajax game which will be on Thurs, Sept 15th against Felicity. Order forms are in the office. See Mrs. Corbin with money before Friday. Shirts are $10. All proceeds go to the Tri-State chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
