NR Cross Country Invitational

A special thank you to all of those who volunteered their time to make the NRHS/MS Cross Country Invitational a big success. Despite muddy conditions I think most involved really had a good experience at the invitational. It takes a lot of people giving a tremendous effort to pull off a cross country meet but add in the fact it was a different course then normal it even takes more effort. Nobody puts on a meet like NR does because of all the volunteers we have. Thanks so much and job well done. Also a special thanks to Coach Shebesta who spent hours mapping the course out several times because of the weather conditions. His efforts were very much appreciated by all involved. Thanks Coach!

LADY LIONS VARSITY VOLLEYBALL

Congratulations to the Lady Lions Volleyball team on their win against Blanchester last night in 3 straight games; 25-11, 25-23, and 28-26. The team came out fighting and worked hard to the very end to secure another match.

Boys and girls varsity soccer game change

The game that was scheduled to play at Blanchester tomorrow will now be played at New Richmond due to poor field conditions at Blanchester from last week's rain. Boys will play at 5:00 with girls to follow at 7:00.

2010 Non-League Baseball Opponents

The 2010 Baseball Lions will have a challenging non-league schedule this spring. Non-league opponents include Amelia (2x), Edgewood (double-header), Turpin, Western Hills, Taylor, Reading, Madeira, Wilmington, Hughes, and Summit Country Day. The Lions will also be playing in the AJ Cohen tournament/showcase at Midland this year. Their opponent for this event is still to be determined.

Victory for Lady Lions Soccer over CHCA

The girls varsity soccer team triumphed over CHCA on Saturday afternoon, 3 to 1. The team worked hard to show their strength with one-touch passes, and outstanding field position to keep complete control of the game. Scoring for the Lady Lions was Sarah Glenn with an assist from Savannah Glenn, Savannah Glenn with an assist from Kelsey Hensley, and Kelsey Hensley with an assist from Holly Loreaux. The Lions have improved their record to 6-4 and will take on Blanchester Tuesday at 7:00.

Golfers Finish 4th in S.B.A.A.C.

The Lion golfers traveled to Whiteoak Golf Course early Saturday morning to play in the 18 hole final S.B.A.A.C. match for the year. Inclement weather though made the event a 9 hole finish. The course was wet, muddy and a heavy fog set in to cause a delay in the start of the match.
The Lions were lead in scoring by Junior Tyler Flood (46) who finished 8th in league play and made 2nd team all-league. Also scoring for the Lions were Evan McKinley (51) 17th place, Jake Schumacher (21st place) and David Ohntrup (54's) and Austin Wells (55) 18th place. The Lions wrap up their regular season with a record of 8-15. They will begin sectional play on October 1st at Sharon Woods Golf Course.
