Boys Soccer Season Comes To An End

The boys traveled to McNicholas High School for the second round of tournament play. It became clear early in the match why McNicholas was the tournament number 1 seed, with their individual technique and team tactics. The Lions played hard the entire game, but were just over matched. Their season recorded is 7-8-3. The seniors will be missed and were a big part of the teams success. The future for New Richmond soccer looks bright with a strong underclass and a strong desire to win.

girls varsity soccer team's end to the season

The girls varsity soccer team traveled to Fairfield High School Wednesday to play in the 1st round of the Division II District Tournament. The team matched up, for the 3rd year in a row, against Cincinnati Christian. Although the Lady Lions were able to defeat CCS the first two years, they were unable to claim victory this time around. The teams battled with a 0-0 tie throughout the entire game. A sudden death, 15 min game was then played, with the first team to score, to be the winner of the game. Cincinnati Christian earned a corner kick with 3 minutes to go in the sudden death match and scored, giving them the overall win of 1-0. The team's overall record for the year was 5-9-2.
A New Richmond High School Fall Sports Banquet will be held at the high school on Tuesday, November 9th at 6PM.
