Victory over G-Men shows team depth

Last night the Lady Lions showed their skill with a 6-1 win over the Lady G-Men of Georgetown. Holding only a one goal lead at halftime, the Lions stepped up their game the second half to put five more in the back of the net in only forty minutes. Georgetown scored off a thirty yard free kick with 1:30 in the game, but the Lions were determined to have the last word. Pushing up the field with speed, they were able to score one more goal with 50 seconds remaining.
The Lions showed their character during the game by continuing to play with outstanding sportsmanlike conduct as the game began to turn ugly, resulting in three yellow cards for Georgetown and one for New Richmond.
Congratulations girls and good luck Saturday versus Williamsburg.
