Lady Lions Soccer Fall to the Batavia Lady Dawgs

The night started with a hard loss by the girls jv squad. The final score was 7-1 with Kayla Owens scoring New Richmond's goal. The team looks to try for a victory when they play Batavia next Monday at home.

The varsity team had a tough battle agaisnt Batavia as well, losing 5-3. The girls played the best they have played all season, and went goal for goal with the Lady Dawgs. A few changes had been made in formation and positioning which allowed the team to defend well. New Richmond had the first goal of the night by Senior, Noelle Schickling, assisted by Freshman, Sarah Glenn. Sophomore, Kelsey Hensley scored the second goal for New Richmond on a direct kick. The third goal for the Lady Lions was assisted with a great cross from Kelsey Hensley, with a header into the goal by Sarah Glenn! The varsity team plays at home this Thursday against Georgetown.
