The Lions travel south of the border to do battle with Kentucky's best!

The JV and Varsity Wrestling Lions didn't need their passports last night to clash with Ryle and Connor. The evening started with the JV matches. Some of the highlights included a 15-0 win by Autumn Clark, a last second takedown by Aaron Pollard to secure a victory and James White with a dominating victory! The JV Lions finished with two strong team wins!
The Varsity Lions started the evening with an early lead over Ryle thanks to a flurry of moves by Ryan Zawacki to win by one point in the last seconds. The early lead disappeared quickly after several Ryle wins in a row. Cody Gabelman and JR Forsee also had victories against Ryle, final score displayed a Ryle win 53-15.
Next up was Connor and as usual the Lions wrestled very well after a loss. They punished Connor 63-6 losing only one weight class. Some of the highlights was a 19 seconds pin by Nathan Dixon, a first period pin by Austin Skaggs and Tyler Loyd, a strong finish by Kevin Reid and Brandon Mues to win close matches.
Next up is a weekend tournament @ Madeira. If you have not seen these Lions you need to get to Madeira this weekend to watch them challenge for a team title against 16 other teams including the #1 ranked team in the city, Reading. WE ARE NR!
