Boys Soccer Travels to Maderia
Boys soccer played a tough Maderia team to a 0-0 tie. The Lions started the season with 2 non conference games against 2 good teams and are now ready to start league play Thursday at New Richmond against Western Brown.
Lions Get Beaten By Barons After Tie
The Lion Linksters were beaten by Amelia on a fifth card tie breaker at Stillmeadows golf course last night. The final score was 185-185. Leading the Lions in scoring was Chris Mazzaro with a 3 over par 38 and Bryce Kroeger with a 4 over par 39. Also scoring for the Lions was Kyle Heidlage (47), Daman Abner (61), Chase Heflin (63), and Zack Grissom (63).

Varsity Volleyball Team Overpowers Lady G-Men
The New Richmond varsity volleyball team defeated the Lady
G-men of Georgetown in an explosive match tonight. After winning the first game the Lady Lions
came up short in the second game. The
team then rallied to take the next two games.
Eleanor Wildey was powerful at the net with a possible record setting 21
kills in the match. Setting her and the
other attackers were Rachael Riffle and Jessica Nazareth who each had 13
assists. Carrie Stapleton, Jessica
Nazareth, and Eleanor Wildey all had double digit digs with 15, 14, and 13 respectively. The ace club was lead by Carrie Stapleton
with 5 aces in 17 serves. Kandice Miller
had 3 blocks to help stop the Lady G-men’s attacks. The teams go on the road again on Thursday to
play at Reading High School.
JV LADY LIONS VOLLEYBALL TEAM
The Lady Lions started the season with 1 win and 1 lost on Saturday. We lost to CNE 16-25 and 23-25. Then came back with a victory against Ripley, 25-5 and 25-12. A team effort was given by all.

Lady Lion's Varsity Volleyball Team Attacks Ripley.
The volleyball team's record stands at 1-1 at the end of the season opening tri-match. After falling to CNE in the first match of the day, the girls pulled together and rallied to come out strong against Ripley. The team's serving was started by Rachael Riffle who had 6 aces in 19 attempts. After several different players in the back row (Rachael Riffle, Cortney Smith, Eleanor Wildey, Rachel Zawacki, Jessica Nazareth, and Wendy Appelmann) had multiple digs, the offense was lead by Eleanor Wildey with 7 kills. Kandice Miller had the team's only block. Everyone contributed to the successful team victory. Monday the girls go on the road to take on Georgetown.

Lion Linksters Bulldog Batavia and Fry Roger Bacon
The Lion Linksters started their 2013 season with a sweep of Batavia and Roger Bacon at Elks Run Golf Course. Leading the Lions was Medalist Chris Mazzaro who shot a 39. Also scoring and playing well for the Lions were Bryce Kroeger 42, Daman Abner 46, Kyle Heidlage 49, Zack Grissom 61, and Chase Heflin 61. The Lion's record now stands at 2-0 on the season.

Required OHSAA Parent/Athlete Meeting is Aug. 8
Parents or guardians of New Richmond High School fall athletes are required by Ohio High School Athletic Association rules to attend an annual OHSAA Parent/Athlete Meeting.
New Richmond will hold the required OHSAA Parent/Athlete Meeting Aug. 8 at 6 p.m. at the high school threatre to be followed by individual team meetings at 7 p.m. in NRHS classrooms to be followed by the New Richmond Sports Foundation meal and Meet the Teams program at the stadium beginning at 7:30 p.m. The meal is free to any adult who buys a Sports Foundation membership during the program. The evening will conclude with a football intra-squad scrimmage at 8:15 p.m.

Season sports passes and football reserved seat licenses will go on sale at the OHSAA Parent/Athlete Meeting/Meet The Teams program.
All sports pass- $90 adults/ $70 students admits bearer to all sports events for the entire school year
10 game pass- $50 adult/ $30 students admits bearer to any 10 athletic events during the school year.
Reserved Seat Licenses for football- $25 reserves the seat but you still must purchase a ticket for entry to the game.
Checks can be made out to NRHS Athletics.
*Passes do not get you into away games or post season events.
