Wrestlers close out the State Duals finishing second in the sub-region.

The Lions traveled to Ross to wrestle in the sub-region final four of the State Duals. First match of the evening was the #3 seed Eaton. The Lions gave a forfeit at 106, 6-0 Eaton. Nathan Rostetter won a close match 2-0, 6-3 Eaton. AJ Rostetter wrestled tough but lost, 11-3 Eaton. Lions forfeitted 126, 17-3 Eaton. Jesse Troy lost by pin, 23-3 Eaton. Freshman Josh Bauscher had the big win of the night, pinning his opponent in the first period, 23-9 Eaton. Clay Loadman kept the streak going with a 6-4 decision, 23-12 Eaton. Jared Bray lost by pin, 29-12 Eaton. The Lions put the hammer down and won the next six matches! Kenny Booker won by decision, 29-15 Eaton, Kevin Reid won by pin, 29-21 Eation. James White won by pin, 29-27 Eaton. Justin Patrick won by pin, 33-29 LIONS! Nathan Dixon won by pin, 39-29 Lions. JR Forsee recieved a forfeit, final score Lions 45 Eaton 29. The Lions performed like Lions under the pressure! It was a strong team win.

Next up for the Lions was the #1 seed Ross Rams. The Lions found out why they were seeded #1. Although it was a tough loss, the Lions battled match after match. Seniors Kevin Reid, James White and JR Forsee all had big wins. Final score, Ross 54 Lions 16. That ends the Lions trip in the State Duals.

The Lions will travel to Blanchester Saturday to compete in the SBAAC league meet. The Lions have won the last three league titles. Come watch these young men attempt to four-peat! WE ARE NR!!
