Wrestlers battle back to win the Madeira Invitational.

Friday night was a good night at the Madeira Inv. for the Lions, only losing five matches in three rounds. That put the Lions firmly in first place.

Then came Saturday morning... . The Lions only won two matches in the semi-final round, also known as the big point round. The Lions quickly dropped to second place behind Reading and nearly fell all the way to third behind Blanchester. The Reading and Blanchester fans started to smell victory in the air. Then Lion Pride showed up and ripped off eighteen straight wins! Eighteen straight wins in wrestling is unheard of, Lion Pride would not be denied. That put the Lions back in first to stay.

Nine wrestlers placed top four. The Lions were led by 182 lb. champion senior James White. JR Forsee second, AJ Rostetter, Nathan Rostetter, Autumn Clark, Clay Loadman, Kenny Booker, Kevin Reid and Nathan Dixon all placed third. What an incredible team effort put on by these young men, Madeira Invitational Champions! WE ARE NR!!
