VARSITY BASEBALL ROLLS

The Western Brown Broncos arrived at New Richmond on Wednesday trailing the Lions by one game in SBC play. Their hopes of leaving New Richmond with a first place tie in the standings were crushed, as the Lions defeated them by a convincing score of 12 to 3. The win extends the Lions record to 8-0, and puts them 2 games up in the early SBC league race. Austin Skaggs pitched 6 great innings and was aided by solid Lion defense. The offense was led by Cole Bird with 2 doubles and 3 RBI's, Levi Simpson with 2 hits, Ryan Waters with a triple, and Austin Skaggs with 2 hits. The Lions host Wilmington this Saturday for a non-league double-header.
