Basketball camp set for June 4-7

The 4th annual New Richmond High School Boys and Girls basketball camp for students entering grades 3-8 will be held June 4-7 at the New Richmond High School gym under the guidance of boys varsity coach Brian McMonigle and girls varsity coach Brad Hatfield.

Cost of the day camp is $30 for the entire week.

Day Camp features include:

* Official New Richmond Basketball shirt, Official New Richmond camper book, complete with a comprehensive evaluation specific to each individual

* Certificate of participation, ideas for goal-setting, and more

* Awards by division for MVP, Most Improved Player, Sportsmanship, Mr. Hustle, Mr. Stations, as well as Best Rebounder, Defender, and Playmaker

* Daily instructional stations and minimum 2 games per day. Tournament will be on the last day of the camp.

* Instruction from High School staff and players

Thursday- Awards to be given at 1:00 PM. Parents are encouraged to come and watch
*All camp activities will start and conclude at the High School gym.
*We may occasionally use the middle school gym and outdoor courts (weather permitting) for certain drills/games.
* Players are asked to wear proper shoes for indoor and outdoor courts.




Coach Brian McMonigle is entering his fourth year as the New Richmond High School boys basketball coach. He has thirteen years of coaching experience and played four years of college basketball. An alumni of the New Richmond Basketball program, Brian’s enthusiasm and loyalty run deep to the players who wear the red and black. His goal is to build a championship program, by building championship young men.





Coach Brad Hatfield is entering his fifth year as the girls varsity basketball coach. Prior to obtaining the head position, Coach Hatfield coached the junior varsity team. Coach Hatfield’s experience playing intercollegiate basketball helped him start his coaching career. His expertise and intensity have helped revitalize the girls program which has recorded back-to-back winning seasons including a 17-5 record in 2011-12.
