The Cold War is not over!!
Lions pound the #1 ranked team, 42-17

The Varsity Lions Wrestling team battled the Ross Rams tonight at the NR Wrestling Field House. It was Cold and it was definitely a War, Lions 42 Ross 17. The Lions left no doubt who the top team in the city will be when the new poll comes out. Jordan Hooks ignited the war with a 17-2 victory. Big brother Brody added more fuel to the fire with a 16-0 win. Austin Skaggs fanned the flames with a 17-4 victory. Cody Gabelman burned up his opponent with a 8-2 win. Chris Klinker pulled out all the stops but lost a tough match. Robbie Lemar started the fire again with a pin. Ryan Zawacki left it all on the mat but lost 4-0. Clay Loadman battled til the last second but lost a close match 6-4. Senior Cory English lit the fuse again with a pin. Kevin Reid attacked for six minutes and won 11-3. James White grenaded his opponent with a second period pin. Ryle Beckerich left his heart on the mat but came up a little short, 14-11. Nathan Dixon battled hard but lost in the second period. JR Forsee finished the War with a 9-6 win. The Lions proved to be too much for the cross town rivals!

The Lions also beat Madeira 75-6!

The JV team lost a close dual, 45-30. Next up for the JV is a home tournament Saturday.

The Varsity will wrestle Amelia Wednesday, WE ARE NR!!
