Lion Golfers Attack Sectional Golf Tournament: Austin Wells Qualifies for Districts

The Lion Golfers traveled to Glenview Golf Course on Tuesday to play in the Division I Sectional Tournament. This was the Lions first year participating in Division I and they fared well as a team. There were 16 teams playing in the Sectional and the Lions shot a 354 which was good enough to place in 7th place in the tough field. Leading the Lions in scoring was District Qualifier Austin Wells who shot a solid 81 to pace the team. Also scoring and playing well for the Lions were Chris Mazzaro (90), Evan McKinley (91), Austin Skaggs (92), and Henry Heidlage (102). Austin will tee it up on Wednesday October 12th in the District Golf Tournament to be held at Weatherwax Golf Course. The teams final record for the season was 68-11.
