The Lion Basketball program has been very busy this past week. The varsity team has played 4 games in the past 7 days and the freshman and JV teams have also played three games a piece.
The lions varsity team sits at 2-3 after losing two consecutive tough games to good teams in Newport and Norwood. The lions varsity sits at 1-0 in the SBC after beating rival CNE Friday night by a score of 52-43. Leading the way for the Lions were Senior Nick Hill with 15 points and Junior Austen Craig with 10 points. Senior Tucker Hawkins came off the bench and did a great job defensively on one of CNE's main scorers. Senior Jake Gundler pitched in 9.
The lions followed the win with a tough loss at Newport on Saturday. Leading the way for the Lions was Junior Evan McKinley with 9 points.
The Lions traveled to Norwood Tuesday night trying to improve on their game from Saturday. Norwood's athleticism caused too many turnovers for the lions that transpired into easy transition points for the Indians. Leading the way for the Lions were Junior Evan McKinley who hit for a career high 19 points on 7-8 shooting from the field. Nick Hill added 7 points and 3 assists.
The Lions travel to Amelia on Friday night to try to improve their league record to 2-0.

The JV Boys basketball team improved to 3-1 on Tuesday night by beating a solid Norwood JV team.

The Freshman boys basketball team improved to 3-1 on Tuesday night be beating Norwood by a score of 49-27.
