Tough Loss to Lady Bulldogs
The girls varsity team played a tough game against Batavia last night. Batavia scored 4 goals in the first half of the game, however the second half, the Lady Lions were able to keep them scoreless. The final score was 4-0. Bailey Workman, and Ally Skaggs did a great job in containing their two key players. The Lions will face Williamsburg next Tuesday, September 20th at home.
ACES FOR AJAX JV VOLLEYBALL
Congratulations to the JV Volleyball team on their victory against Felicity last night 2 out of 3 games; 23-25, 25-20 and 25-23. Offensive players of the match were Tina Lawrence with 7 kills and Emily Hensley 4 kills. Defensive players of the evening were Carrie Stapleton with 9 digs and Rachel Zawacki with 7. The team was led in serving by Emily Carter with 8 serves and 2 aces also Emily Hensley with 6 serves. Our setters, Emily Carter also had 3 assists and Analiese Rhodes 2 assists. A great job was done by all to seal the win.

Aces for Ajax was a huge success!!!
Tonight's Aces for Ajax volleyball game was a huge success. The JV team won in 3 games as well as the varsity. Hannah Lang lead the team with 5 aces and 19 assists. Eleanor Wildey lead the offense with 10 kills. Rachel Heflin lead the defense with 18 digs. Sarah Shoemaker also played a key role with 8 kills and 17 digs. As far as t-shirt sales and donations collected at the game, preliminary estimates are about $1850 to be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Cincinnati!!! Thank you to everyone who supported this event.
New Richmond Golfers Take 3rd Round Win in S.B.A.A.C. League Tournament
The Lion Golfers continued their solid play in the 3rd round of the S.B.A.A.C. League Tournament held at Lindale Golf Course on Thursday afternoon. The Lions fired a 150 followed by Amelia which carded a 168. Other scores were C.N.E. (172), Bethel (176), Western Brown (186) and Goshen (202). Leading the Lions in scoring was Medalist Henry Heidlage with a one over par 36. Following close behind was Chris Mazzaro and Evan McKinley with two over par 37's. Also scoring and playing well for the Lions were Austin Skaggs (40), Austin Wells (41), and Kyle Heidlage (44). The Lions tee it up against Amelia in a dual match on Tuesday at Friendly Meadows. The S.B.A.A.C. #4 will be held on Wednesday at White Oak Golf Course. The Lions record now sits at 44-4 on the season.

JV Girls Soccer
The JV girl’s soccer team defeated Batavia last night with a score of 2-0. Goals were scored by Kaitlynn Chumley and Hannah Hall with assists by Logan Smith. The Lions defense had another great game. Goalie Laura Bosse stopped a penalty kick with a minute left in the game to save the shut out. Go Lions!

New Richmond Golfers Win 2nd Round S.B.A.A.C. League Tournament
The New Richmond Golfers traveled to Friendly Meadows Golf Course on Tuesday to play in the second round of the S.B.A.A.C. Tournament. The Lions fired a 157 to second place Amelia's 168. Western Brown (179), Bethel (188), C.N.E. (203) and Goshen (210) rounded out the team scoring. Leading the Lions was Medalist Evan McKinley with a even par 36 and Henry Heidlage with a 2 over par 38. Also scoring for the Lions were Chris Mazzaro (40), Austin Wells (43), Austin Skaggs (43) and Kyle Heidlage (45). The Lions sit in first place after two rounds of the 54 hole tournament. They lead second place Amelia by 10 strokes. The Lions tee it up on Thursday in the third round of the S.B.A.A.C. Tournament at Lindale Golf Course. The Lions record now stands at 36-4 on the season.

Congratulations to the jv volleyball team on their victory against Deer Park 25-10 and 25-21. Servers of the game were Erica Lumpkins with 12 serves, Carrie Stapleton 6 with 2 aces and Tina Lawrence 4 with 2 aces. A great job was done by all.
Boys soccer ties Eastern
Boys soccer tied unbeaten Eastern 2-2. Goals were scored by Kevin Reid and Tyler Loyd.
This is the fourth tie for the boys this season, who are playing good soccer and remain in the hunt for league lead.

girls varsity soccer falls to Eastern
The girls varsity soccer team lost 1-0 to Eastern on Monday night. It was a hard fought game, however Eastern was able to score with 7 minutes to go in the contest. The defense, which included: Cassidy Martin, Jill Flenniken, Cassie Byrd, Hannah Murphy, Kayla Owens, Madeline Farmer, Bailey Workman and Samantha McDowell had an outstanding game, almost escaping with a shut-out. The girls will prepare for their next contest set for Thursday at Batavia, following the girls jv soccer game.
Lion Golfers Win Shootout With Amelia and Goshen in Tri-Match
The Lion Golfers continued their strong season with a win in a Tri-Match at Lindale Golf Course on Monday. The final score was New Richmond 144 , Amelia 152, and Goshen 192. The Lions played very well in the match with Medalist Evan McKinley shooting a 3 under 32 and Henry Heidlage shooting an even par 35. Chris Mazzaro shot a 3 over par 38 and Austin Well shot a 4 over par 39. Rounding out the Lions scoring was Austin Skaggs (43) and Kyle Heidlage (49). The Lions travel to Friendly Meadows on Tuesday to play in the second round of the S.B.A.A.C. League Tournament. The Lions record now sits at 31-4 on the season.
Football Improves Record 1-2
The LIONS varsity football team won Friday 9/9, beating Taylor 48 - 0. All players that played in the game represented New Richmond in a great way. Nick Hill lead the offense with 122 yds rushing, while Jay Glueck added 111 yds rushing. Derrick Dillow threw 2 TD passes, 1 to Connor Tidball, and 1 to Matt Forsee. The defense was led by Danny Scholz and Jake Gundler.
The JV football team lost 7-6 in the mud to Taylor. Although the Lions dominated the game, 7 fumbles, and a couple missed assignments allowed Taylor to score late and kick the extra point for the win. The players played hard, and are determined to not let any more games slip through their grasp.
