Tough Loss to Western for Lady Lions
The girls varsity soccer team lost to the Lady Broncos on their home-opener on Thursday night. The game remained tied at 0-0 till 7 minutes in the game when Western Brown scored on a penalty kick. It was a hard loss as the Lady Lions dominated most of the game. The girls will start preparing for their next contest played on Tuesday, August 30th at Goshen.
Girls Tennis- Western Brown
Defeated by Western Brown last night, the girls tennis team continues to work hard and improve against a very strong league schedule. Miranda Stilwell and Alex White remain undefeated in league play at the first doubles position.
Girls Tennis-Amelia
The tennis team lost to Amelia 4-1. Miranda Stilwell and Alex White defeated their opponents in 2 sets. The team will challenge Western Brown at home on Thursday.
Girls Tennis- Bethel
The girls tennis team lost to Bethel 4-1. Miranda Stilwell and Alex White defeated their opponents in two sets. The team will travel to Amelia on Wednesday.
Girls Tennis-SBAAC Tournament
Congratulations to Miranda Stilwell and Alex White for capturing the SBAAC Doubles Tournament Championship. The girls defeated Blanchester in the semi-finals in three sets and went on to defeat Bethel for the championship.
Girls Tennis-SBAAC Tournament
The girls tennis team played a tough first round and continue to show great improvement. Megan Woolum moved onto the second round, and Miranda Stilwell and Alex White will return Monday to play in the semi-finals.
Tennis-CNE
The girls tennis team opened their season with CNE. The girls fell one match short of a victory losing 3-2. Sarah Jones defeated her opponent in two sets at first singles, and Miranda Stilwell and Alex White won at first doubles. The team will travel to Blanchester for the SBAAC Tournament on Sat.
Tough finish for the boys-
It was a slow start in the first half for the lions, with only a couple of scoring opportunities created. The second half provided numerous opportunities to score. With 3 minutes left Kaylin Kauth scored the games first goal. With 7 seconds left Western Brown scored the equalizer when the lions failed to clear a corner kick.
New Richmond had 25 shots on goal scoring once. Western Brown had 8 shots on goal with 6 saves by Nathan Dixon.

Lion Golfers Break the Broncos
Around 5:30 pm last night the Local Fire Department was called to the Lindale Golf Course as the local N.R.H.S. golfers burned up the course. The team shot a red hot 142 to Western Browns 178. All 6 golfers for the Lions shot under 40 with two players shooting under par as the team shot a 2 over par for the round. This I am sure has got to be a record. Leading the Lions were co-medalists Evan McKinley and Henry Heidlage with one under 34's. Also playing and scoring well for the Lion Linksters were Chris Mazzaro (36), Kyle Heidlage (38), Austin Wells and Austin Skaggs (39's). The Lions tee it up against the same Bronco team next Tuesday at White Oak Golf Course starting at 4:00. The Lions record now stands on the season 22-3.

JV Girls Soccer
The lady lions JV soccer team defeated Cincinnati Christian last night with a score of 4-2. Goals were scored by Logan Smith, Hannah Hall, Anna Moss, and Alex Shultz. Courtney Petry, Anna Moss, Madeline Farmer, and Katelyn Chumley each had an assist. The victory was a great team effort by all.

Lion Golfers Tame the Tigers
The Lion Linksters held off a determined Bethel team for a 172-173 victory at Friendly Meadows golf course on Tuesday afternoon. The Lions were led by Evan McKinley with a 41 and Austin Wells and Austin Skaggs with 43's. Austin Skaggs made a 5 foot double breaker to seal the win for the Lions. Also scoring for the Lions were Henry Heidlage (45), Chris Mazzaro (46), and Kyle Heidlage (49). The Lions tee it up at their home course, Lindale Golf Club, Thursday against Western Brown. The Lions record now stands at 21-3 on the season.
JV Girls Soccer
The JV lady soccer team started out their season with a 1-1 tie against Norwood last night. Alex Schutlz scored a goal in the first half with an assist from Anna Moss. Goalie Madison Holdsworth had an excellent game with 12 saves. The JV lady lions play tonight at Cincinnati Christian. Go Lions!

Varsity Lady Lions fall to Norwood Indians
The girls varsity soccer team put up a good fight against Norwood last night. The Lady Lions have improved tremendously in their play against the Indians in years past. Scoring for New Richmond was Courtney Grogan with an assist by Emily Barcheski 20 minutes in the first half. Cassidy Martin had a total of 5 saves against a talented offensive team. The team has their home opener on Thursday, August 25th against Western Brown at 5pm.
Tough loss for mens soccer
The boys were defeated Monday evening by Norwood 2-1. New Richmond held a 1-0 lead heading into the second half. Norwood was able to score the equalizer off of a restart on the New Richmond defensive third. Unfortunately the game was not decided by the players on the field as Norwood was given the opportunity to score the go a head goal on a penalty kick. The Lions played well and should be proud of their efforts.

N.R.H.S. Golfers Sweep Tri-Match
The Lion Linksters kept up their fast start as they defeated Batavia and C.N.E. at Lindale Golf Course on Monday. New Richmond shot a solid 170 to lead the way. Batavia finished a close second by shooting a 179 and C.N.E. rounded out the scoring with a 189.Leading the Lions in scoring was Co-Medalist freshman Kyle Heidlage with a 39. Close behind was junior Davey "Dumpling" Ohntrup with a 42. Also scoring and playing well for the Lions were freshman Bryce Kroeger (43), Junior Erik Hermann (46), Freshman Daman Abner (50), and Junior Matt Rydzewski (54). The victory pushes the team's record on the season to 20-3.
