Boys soccer traveled to Bethel for the last game of the regular season and an opportunity to be the outright league champions.
The score was 0-0 well into the second half when Jake Hayden cleaned up a deflection from a penalty kick to take a 1-0 lead. Shortly after Jake scored the second goal off a head ball from a well played cross. Will Hayden recorded the shutout with the help of a solid defense.
A great team effort gave Boys Soccer it's first league championship since 2006. Well Done Boys!

Boys soccer plays Amelia for First Place
Amelia came to New Richmond with both teams having the same conference record. The winner would take sole possession of first place.
Mid way through the first half Tyler Klein scored what would be the games only goal on a corner kick. Will Hayden had the shut out due to a solid defensive unit that limited Amelia chances.
The Lions travel to play conference opponent Bethel for the last game of the season on Thursday.
It would be nice to have a big crowd to push the boys to a victory and league championship.
