The boys basketball game scheduled for tonight January 8th has been cancelled. The wrestling tournament at Madeira will still be held. Coaches will contact their athletes on any practice time. All Saturday events will go on as planned, including the Hall of Fame Banquet.

Boys Basketball at C.N.E. 1/5/10

The boys basketball team defeated CNE last night by a score of 48-45. Dylan Phillips led the Lions with 15 points and 6 rebounds. The lions defense won the game by only allowing 6 points in the 4th quarter. Jon Berwanger hit two big threes to tie the score with only minutes remaining. Will Shoemaker hit two clutch free throws with 12.6 seconds remaining to ice the game. Joey McCabe got his first action of the year and gave quality minutes when the Lions were in foul trouble. Nick Hill played well pushing the ball up the floor in transition and scoring 7 points. The lions next game is at Batavia Friday night. Coach McMonigle

Lady Lions WIn at Reading

The Lady Lions basketball team pulled off a come-from-behind victory over Reading last night, the final score was 46-39. After trailing the first three quarters by as many as 10, the lions outscored Reading 24-11 in the 4th quarter to pull off the victory. The lions' defense forced several turnovers in the final period to gain and keep the momentum. The lions were led by Lindsey Blankenship with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Next @East Clinton Thursday 1/7.

The induction ceremony will be held at the Hall of Fame Banquet on Saturday, January 9, 2010. The new inductees, as well as all current Hall of Fame members, will be recognized at half time of the Varsity Boys Basketball game that evening.
