The track team traveled to Glen Este High School for a five team track meet including Glen Este, Milford, Felicity and Williamsburg. New Richmond's boys team did a great job of placing 3rd overall in the meet. The results were as follows:

JV BASEBALL LIONS ON A 10 GAME WINNING STREAK
The JV Baseball Lions have enjoyed a great week of baseball. Wins over Felicity (23to 1), Taylor (11to 2), and Batavia (12 to 9), have improved their record to 10-1 on the year. Today, the JV Lions travel to Western Brown to take on the Broncos in a big SBC road contest.

Basketball camp set for June 4-7
The 4th annual New Richmond High School Boys and Girls basketball camp for students entering grades 3-8 will be held June 4-7 at the New Richmond High School gym under the guidance of boys varsity coach Brian McMonigle and girls varsity coach Brad Hatfield.
Cost of the day camp is $30 for the entire week.

Coach Brian McMonigle is entering his fourth year as the New Richmond High School boys basketball coach. He has thirteen years of coaching experience and played four years of college basketball. An alumni of the New Richmond Basketball program, Brian’s enthusiasm and loyalty run deep to the players who wear the red and black. His goal is to build a championship program, by building championship young men.
Coach Brad Hatfield is entering his fifth year as the girls varsity basketball coach. Prior to obtaining the head position, Coach Hatfield coached the junior varsity team. Coach Hatfield’s experience playing intercollegiate basketball helped him start his coaching career. His expertise and intensity have helped revitalize the girls program which has recorded back-to-back winning seasons including a 17-5 record in 2011-12.

NR Tennis Team Drops a Close Match to Felicity 3-2
The New Richmond boys tennis team was narrowly defeated by Felicity this past Tuesday by a score of 3-2. Results for the lions were;
1st Singles: Matt Rydzewski 6-7, 3-6
2nd Singles: David Ohntrup 2-6, 6-3, 4-6
3rd Singles: Henry Heidlage 6-4, 7-5
1st Doubles: Zach Manning & Clint Lytle 6-3, 6-3
2nd Doubles: Newton McCullom & Evan McKinley 4-6, 4-6
With the loss, the current record of the team is 4-3 overall and 4-1 in the conference standings. The varsity and jv teams travel to Milford today to face a good Milford squad from the FAVC conference.

NR Varsity Tennis Team Loses Tough Match to Maderia
The NR boys varsity tennis team lost a tough match to Maderia 4-1. Winners for the lions included the 1st doubles duo of Clint Lytle and Zach Manning, who won 7-6(6), 6-4. Other hard fought matches included David Ohntrup at 2nd singles who lost in three close sets and the 2nd doubles team (Henry Heidlage & Evan McKinley) who lost 7-5, 7-6(4). The lions look to rebound today with a home match against Felicity.

2 out of 3
Last week the Lady Lions won 2 out of 3 games, defeating Bethel and Mariemont. Western Brown was a tough loss. Tonight we played Felicity. We really struggled in the 2nd inning. Tomorrow we travel to Milford and Batavia on Wednesday. We are hoping to bring home 2 wins. Saturday we have a double header in Hillsboro.

VARSITY BASEBALL CONTINUES PERFECTION
The New Richmond Lions Baseball team swept the Wilmington Hurricanes on Saturday, 4/7 in a doubleheader. Both games proved close, with the scores of 7-6 and 8-7. The two wins extended the Lions' record to 10-0. This week, the Lions take on Taylor on Tuesday, Batavia on Wednesday, and Taft on Thursday. Check back on Friday to see if the Lions are able to continue their undefeated ways!
JV BASEBALL DEFEATS WYOMING
The JV baseball defeated Wyoming by the score of 7 to 1 on Saturday, 4/7. The win improves the JV LIons' record at 7 wins and 1 loss for the season.
