Lady Lions Over Bethel-Tate

The Varsity Girls Basketball team defeated Bethel Tate last night 59-42 in a game that broke a 1st place tie in the SBAAC-American Division. The Lady Lions' defense slowed down the track-meet style of basketball Bethel-Tate likes to play, limiting their transition opportunities. Josie Buckingham led the way on offense scoring a career-high 35 points while adding 11 rebounds and 5 blocks. Sophomore Bailey Workman added 13 points and 3 assists. Sarah Shoemaker contributed in many ways while providing key ball handling and contributing 4 assists, 4 blocks, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals.
