The morning started with an intense battle with Claymont, the #2 seed. The matches were close but the final score didn't show the effort, Claymont 60 Lions 15. The next test for the Lions was much closer. The Lions faced Padua in the second round. Padua took the early lead but the Lions came storming back. Brody Hooks and James White had impressive victories. The Lions fell a little short though, Padua 35 Lions 27. The final round matched the Lions against the #2 ranked team in the state, Walsh Jesuit. The Lions pulled off the upset, 48 to 34! The team pulled together and flexed their muscle. The Lions kept the pressure on through all fourteen matches. One by one they rose to the occasion and got the victory!
