Austin Warden pitched three scoreless innings for his second win of the season as the Lions batted around three times for a 21-9 win over Bethel in their SBAAC opener Thursday.
New Richmond sent 16 batters to the plate in the third innings and scored 11 times to give Warden a 15-0 lead. The Lions scored six more times in the bottom of the fourth.
Michael Skaggs went 3-for-4 to lead the Lions, who recored a season high 15 hits. Dylan Senters, Will Shoemaker and Zach Ritter each comtributed two hits to the total.
The Lions play their fourth day in a row Friday night when they play at Reading in a 7 p.m. game at Reading's Koenig Park.
