Girls Basketball @Blanchester

Tuesday, Jan 19 @ Blanchester: Final score Blanchester 52, New Richmond 32. The lady lions had trouble stopping the offensive attack of Blanchester last night and the result was negative. Ineffective team defense and excessive turnovers resulted in another loss. The girls failed to stop Blanchester's second half offensive surge and made numerous mistakes at the hands of the Wildcat's press. The lady lions were led by Reno Frayne with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Next @Madeira Thursday, Jan 21.

Lions wrestlers finish second at Madeira

JV Wrestling

Congratulations to the New Richmond Junior Varsity Wrestling team for placing 1st in the New Richmond Invitational tournament. This is the Junior Varsity's 3rd consecutive tournament placing 1st.
Individual winners were: 1st place Tyler Loyd, JR. Forsee and Sam Anderson 2nd Place Chris Klinker and Nathan Dixon 3rd Place Jordon Hooks, Robbie Lemar, Clay Loadman,Luke Hoskins and Justin Patrick
4th Place Autumn Clark

Boys Basketball V Williamsburg

The boys basketball program earned their first "sweep" of the season winning all three games tonight.
The varsity boys team won a great game by a score of 58-53. Will Shoemaker hit key free throws down the stretch to secure the win. He finished the game with 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals. Nick Hill scored 15 points as well as 6 assists. Dylan Phillips pitched in 8 points and 6 rebounds. John Berwanger scored five and also hit key free throws in the fourth quarter. The lions continue their season Saturday night @ Manchester.

Lady Lions Fall Short vs WIlliamsburg

Thursday, Jan 14 home vs Williamsburg: After trailing by as many as 11 the lady lions fell short in their comeback attempt last night vs the visiting Williamsburg Wildcats. After trailing the entire game the girls faced a 1 point deficit in the last minute of the game but failed to get a key stop on defense and failed to score on the ensuing offensive possession. It was an exciting game and the girls played hard and played as a team. The Lady Lions were led once again by Lindsey Blankenship who had 18 points and 10 rebounds, but it was a solid all-around team effort that fell just short. Next @Blanchester Tuesday, Jan 19.
