Girls Track District Meet

Congratulations to the girls track team on an outstanding season. They finished the season 4th in the district and with an overall record of 86-14. The following girls placed respectively in their events, Jill Flenniken, Kayla Owens, Kayla Maupin, Mikaela Rupp in the 4X200, Jill Flenniken, Kayla Owens, Kayla Maupin, Aly Skaggs in the 4X100, Alexis Meyer in the 300 hurdles, Mikaela Rupp in the 400 dash, Emily Barcheski in the 800, Kara Burns in the 3200. The following girls will be moving onto the regionals this week. Veronica Burnam, Olivia Behymer, Emily Barcheski, Sarah Glenn in the 4X800, Veronica Burnam, Olivia Behymer, Mikaela Rupp, Sarah Glenn in the 4X400, Eleanor WIldey in discus, Hannah Hall in high Jump, Kayla Maupin and Aly Skaggs in pole vault, and Olivia Behymer in the 400 dash. Congratulations to Olivia Behymer for being DISTRICT CHAMP in the 400 dash, and breaking her school record again. Congratulations to the 4X800 team, Burnam, Glenn, Behymer, Barcheski for setting a new school record

BINDER, WARDEN REPRESENTING LIONS IN THE EAST-WEST ALL-STAR GAME

Congratulations to Steven Binder and Austin Warden for being chosen to play in the East-West High School All-Star Game. The two will be playing for the East squad at Prasco Park in Mason on Sunday, June 5th at 1:00.

Division II Boys District Track and Field Meet

Congratulations to Jake Gundler for placing 1st in the Pole Vault making him the district champ! We have several athletes advancing to the Regional Meet this Thursday and Saturday at Welcome Stadium in Dayton, OH. The following atheletes placed 4th or higher in their event, and will be competing at Regionals this week:
4x800 Relay (Timmy Hall, Alex Ariapad, Mickie Doane, and Ben Fitzgerrel)
Alex Chesney in the 110 High Hurdles
Miles Derkson in the 300 Hurdles
Alex Aripad in the 1600 Meter Run
Timmy Hall in the 3200 Meter Run

Lions finish 2nd in Div. II track district

Lions boys track coach Shelby Pride and team members (from left) Timmy Hall, Alex Ariapad, Mickie Doane, Ben Fitzgerrel, Colt Reese, and Alex Horn display their 2nd place trophy from Saturday's Division II District Track Meet hosted by New Richmond.

New Richmond's Boys Track team finished second in the Division II District Track Meet hosted by New Richmond Saturday. They finished behind Finneytown.

The Lady Lions finished fourth overall in the Girls Div. II district behind McNicholas, Indian Hill and Wyoming.

New Richmond recorded two 1st place medals with Jake Gundler winning the pole vault with a vault of 11-06 and Olivia Behymer taking the 400 meter dash in 58.37 seconds.

9 WINS IN A ROW, AND COUNTING!

The Varsity Baseball Team continues to roll on in spite of the recent rainy weather. Last Thursday (5/12), the Lions defeated the #4 seed Batavia Bulldogs by the score of 7 to 5 in the Cincinnati sectional semi-final. Steven Binder pitched the complete game and gave up only one earned run. The offense was led by Austin Warden, Levis Simpson, and Austin Skaggs, who all collected 2 hits.

The rain prevented another game until Wednesday (5/18) vs. the always tough and talented Division I Lakota West Firebirds. The Lions were not intimidated as they outplayed the Firebirds and came home with their 9th win in a row by a score of 5-2! 5 different players shared the pitching duties, with Zak Ritter picking up the win. Ritter also collected two key hits and 2 RBI's, while Austin Skaggs delivered three hits and 3 RBI's of his own. Tre Jetter and Cole Bird had a combined 3 hits and 4 of the 5 runs scored for the Lions.

The Lions will now turn their attention to the #1 Seed McNicholas for the sectional championship. The game is at Milford High on Friday, 5/20 at 4:00.

Girls Track SBAAC League Meet

The girls track team placed 3rd in the league meet. Olivia Behymer set a league record in the 400 Dash. The team is now 74-11 for the season. For individual results, visit www.baumspage.com. The girls will compete in the Division II track meet on the 17th, 19th & 21st at New Richmond.

Girls Track Mariemont Invitational

The girls track team placed 5th in the Mariemont Invitational. The invite is a predominantly Division I meet. The girls missed placing 4th by one point. A School record was set in the 400 dash by Olivia Behymer. The teams season record is now, 71-9. For individual results, visit www.baumspage.com.
