Girls Tennis vs. Western Brown

The girls tennis team was defeated by Western Brown on Tuesday 4-1. Miranda Stilwell and Alex White continue to win at the 1st Doubles position. The Lady Lions will face Goshen on Thursday at Goshen.

FRESHMAN/JV VOLLEYBALL

The Freshman volleyball team fought hard against CNE but came up short in the third game. The Lady lions lost the first game 14-25 then came back winning 25-14 but lost the third game and match 16-25. The JV volleyball also fought hard against CNE. After losing the first game 14-25, the JV Lady Lions came back winning 25-23 in the second and battling in the third we came up short 18-25.

After the freshman and jv volleyball teams both lost in 3 games the varsity team came out on top after 5 games. The points and scores kept going back and forth all night! Brittney Strunk had another solid performance with 19 kills, 4 aces, 6 blocks, and 31 digs. Sarah Shoemaker also made some great plays with 33 digs and 10 kills. Sarah Abellanida lead the team with 5 aces and Hannah Lang had 27 assists. Monday the teams take on Bethel at home for the Volley for the Cure game. Any one wearing a 2010 volley for the cure shirt will get in the game for a $1 donation, everyone else will be asked for $3. All money raised will go to the Susan G. Komen foundation. Go Lions!

New Richmond Golfers Finish Season at Sectionals

The New Richmond Linksters wrapped up their season with the 18 hole Sectional Tournament held at Sharon Woods Golf Course Thursday. The Lions shot a 393 for the tournament. Leading the Lions in scoring were Tyler Flood (91), Austin Skaggs (96), Austin Wells (97), and Connor Tidball (109). The Lions ended the season with 27-17 regular season. GREAT SEASON MEN!!!!

JV VOLLEYBALL DEFEATS 7-HILLS

Congratulations to the JV Lady Lions for their victory against 7-Hills. The great effort displayed by the team secured the match win in two games; 25-17 and 25-18. The team's enthusiasm is felt by all who have the opportunity to watch them play. The Freshman and JV teams will face CNE on Thursday.

Varsity Volleyball falls to 7 Hills

After winning the first game of the match26-24, the lady lions lost the second game 23-25, a game in which senior, middle hitter Lindsey Blankenship was injured. The lions battled the next 2 games but fell in each 26-28. Brittney Strunk was on fire with 20 kills and 4 aces and 4 blocks. Sarah Abellanida also had 4 aces. Hannah Lang was the team leader with 33 assists. Myla Gordo and Sarah Shoemaker were the team leaders with 36 and 31 digs, respectively. The team is now 8-8 and take on league rival CNE Thursday. Go Lions!

Boys soccer defeated by the Barons

The September 7th game that was suspended due to inclement weather was completed last night. The Lions lost 5-1 to a tough Amelia team. The boys went into the half loosing 2-1 and still very much in the match. Some poor field conditions and good combination plays allowed Amelia to score the insurance goals. We will see the Barons at New Richmond in a couple of weeks.
