League Champs!

Congratulations to the girls varsity soccer team on their 3-0 victory over Western Brown last night. This win gave the Lady Lions the title of League Champions with a record of 11-4-1. Scoring the three goals for the team was Savannah Glenn with an assist from Noelle Schickling. With the help of the defense, Cassidy Martin earned her 5th shut out of the season! The girls are preparing for their 1st tournament game that is scheduled for Monday against Cincinnati Christian.

LADY LIONS VARSITY VOLLEYBALL

The Lady Lions celebrated their senior night defeating CNE in 3 games; 25-11, 25-18 and 25-21. A team effort was played by all and now they are 2nd in the league. Their last game of the season will be away on Thursday 10/15/09 at Western Brown. The lady lions ranked 6th for the tournament draw and will be playing against Wilmington on Saturday 10/17/09 at 3pm in Goshen. If they win they will play again in Goshen against Norwood on Thursday 10/22/09 and if won they will move onto Saturday 10/29/09 against McNick at 1:30. Come and support the lady lions in their sectional tournament

Victory over Bethel for Lady Lions Varsity Soccer

Congratulations to the girls varsity soccer team on their 4-1 victory over Bethel-Tate last night. The Lady Lions started the game off well with a quick goal by Sarah Glenn with an assist by Kelsey Fondelier. During the second half, Kelsey Hensley, Savannah Glenn, and Noelle Shickling scored, giving New Richmond their 4-1 final over the Tigers. This win keeps the team in 1st place for the league with a 10-4-1 record. The Lady Lions travel to Western Brown on Thursday for their last regular season game.

Boys to host Taylor in Div. II soccer

The New Richmond boys soccer team was seeded 7th in the Cincinnati Division II sectional tournament and will host Taylor at 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 20 in the first round. The winner of that game will play at No. 2 seeded Batavia at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24.

The Lions play at Bethel today and at Western Brown on Thursday.

LADY LIONS VARSITY VOLLEYBALL SENIOR NIGHT

The Lady Lions will be playing against CNE on Tuesday 13, 2009 not the 12th which appears to be on some schedules. This will be our Senior night so come and cheer the lady lions on to a victory against CNE at 6:30pm.

Lady Lions draw Cincinnati Christian for 1st game of soccer tournament

The New Richmond Lady Lions was seeded #15 of 31 teams for the Division II Tournament draw that took place on Sunday, October 11th. The team was able to get a home game for their first tournament game scheduled for Monday, October 19th at 7:00p.m.

They will be playing the Lady Cougars of Cincinnati Christian High School. Cincinnati Christian's record is currently 6-6-2 with one game remaining against Seven Hills. If the Lady Lions are able to advance past Round 1 of the tournament, they will go on to play #3 seed Mariemont @ Mariemont on Thursday, October 22nd at 7:00 p.m.
